Black Student Orientation
Black Student Orientation serves as a premiere event to showcase the influential organizations represented here on our campus. Organizations are given the opportunity to introduce themselves to the new students through performances, skits, and parodies of TV shows, songs, and funny videos. Over 40 organizations participate in this program every year. Directly following the program, an Organization Fair is held for get more information and to get involved.
Big XII Conference on Black Student Government
An annual conference provides Black students across the nation the opportunity to develop into better leaders and network with hundreds of students at other universities. The Black Student Alliance helps plan the conference year round and attends at the end of every February. This year, the conference will be held at the University of Missouri.
Pageant
Our pageant allows several Black women on campus to showcase their talents and accomplishments to the student body. This event takes place during Springfest, a week of events planned by the Black Homecoming Planning Committee.
Community Service
The Black Student Alliance values engagement with our local community, especially our Black population and our youth. We're dedicated to helping underserved communities and educating people on Black issues.
